Technical FAQ

What is the difference between a circulator and an isolator?
A circulator is a three-port device where signals travel in one direction (Port 1 to 2, 2 to 3, etc.). An isolator is a circulator with the third port terminated, allowing power to flow in only one direction and absorbing reflections to protect the source.
High VSWR indicates significant reflected power. Our circulators are designed to steer this reflected power away from your sensitive transmitter stages, ensuring system longevity even in mismatched antenna conditions.
